What is this all about?
#PedagooPerth17 is on! Building on the success of the previous two #PedagooPerth events in 2015 and 2016, #PedagooPerth17 will provide more of the same great opportunities to connect with like minded colleagues and share practice.
PedagooPerth17 is an opportunity to hear from other educators, share your ideas and get support and feedback. Come along to make new connections, build on existing ones and be part of a supportive network in Perth and Kinross.
Attendance at this event will be free!
When and where will it be?
#PedagooPeth17 will take place on Wednesday 1st March at the North Inch Community Campus, Perth.
Registration will open at 5pm and we are estimating a 7.30pm finish.
What will it look like?
Pedagoo events take a learning conversation rather than a presentation approach. We first ask teachers to sign up to lead a learning conversation and then we’ll open the event to everyone else who wants to come along and take part. In true Pedagoo-style this will not be a series of lectures but an evening of conversations in which everyone is encouraged to get involved. Active not passive.
You will get a chance to sign up to attend learning conversations on arrival. Conversations confirmed so far include:
|MarkMCShane||Investigating the Digital Classroom|
|CharlaineSimpson||Practitioner enquiry – the why, the what and the how|
|Rachael Crawford||Physical Education ideas for primary children, including gymnastics|
|Jason Bain||How do you ensure that you record, reflect and take forward your professional learning?|
|Kevin Hodgson||The Pursuit of Pivotal Plenaries|
|Sean Dowling||OorWullieBucket Trail a Cross Curricular approach to Scots language Learning|
|Richard Brocklehurst||How can we develop education outdoors within our community?|
|Kellie smith||The wonderful world of lego|
|Laura McIntosh||Who’s leading who?|

Sounds amazing! How do I sign up?
#PedagooPerth is now open! Pedagoo events rely on educators being willing to share what they do in a supportive environment.
Anyone can submit a learning conversation – if it’s something you’ve tried out in your classroom or school then others will want to hear about it. Learning conversations are thirty minutes in length and you are encouraged to share your practice for 15 minutes and then lead a discussion for the remainder of your time. Use of powerpoint is discouraged we’re after conversations, not presentations. You’ll also get a chance to attend other people’s conversations.
Go on! You know you want to, groups tend to be maximum 10 people, everyone who is there because they want to learn from each other and fond out how to improve their practice. If you’re keen to give it a go, sign up now using the form below.
