National Qualifications – Mythbusters

Click on the image to visit the SQA Mythbusters page.

There is a new page on the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) website which is a start in addressing the FUDsurrounding the new National Qualifications.

The page is called New National Qualifications — Mythbuster, and has explanations of why the roll-out of the new National 4 and National 5 qualifications are progressing as they are. Well worth sharing, and don’t forget that you too can add you tuppence worth on the CfE Feedback page.

Paul, it’s almost two years since this post was written. The SQA is bound to have reorganised its website since then. Also, everyone’s understanding has moved on since then, perhaps the questions this page addressed are not quite as relevant now? I don’t see the point in equating this to CfE.

I know you’re probably only being a bit jokingly flippant, but I’m personally quite fed up this form of continuous casual CfE bashing. It all combines to form an unhelpful mood in the profession.
