Hi there, My names is Stewart and I’m currently studying a Ba in Music Performance.

During the course of this year, I have to write an dissertation style essay on a topic of my choice. On of the sections in my report is on interdisciplinary learning in secondary schools. Focussing primarily on how music can be helped to aid both Mathematics and English skills. I have chosen these two subjects because they are seen to be almost opposites. I am trying to prove that music can help in a variety of ways but focussing on the academic merits.

I am putting this post up to ask if there are any Maths or English teachers that somehow manage to crow bar music into their lessons to help with their teaching? if so how and why?
