What is this all about?

#PedagooTayside is on! We all know talking about and sharing practice is a positive thing to do, PedagooTayside offers an opportunity for educators from Dundee, Fife, Angus and Perthshire to come together and hear whats happening across the different authorities.  Come along to make new connections, build on existing ones and be part of a supportive network across Tayside.  Learning conversation leaders will mainly be from these four authorities but attendees from across Scotland are more than welcome!  See what’s going on Tayside!

Attendance at this event will be free!

When and where will it be?

#PedagooTayside will take place on Saturday 17th June 2017 in the University of Dundee, Dalhousie Building.  Registration will open at 10am with tea/coffee and cake, we are aiming for a 12.30pm finish with an option for further discussion over lunch.

What will it look like?

Pedagoo events take a learning conversation rather than a presentation approach. We are looking for educators to sign up to lead a learning conversation or to come along and take part. In true Pedagoo-style this will not be a series of lectures but a morning of conversations in which everyone is encouraged to get involved. Active not passive.

You will get a chance to sign up to attend learning conversations on arrival.

10am – registration, refreshments and chat

10.10am: Introduction and overview of the morning.

Session 1: 10.30am – 11am

Session 2: 11.10am – 11.40am

Session 3:  11.50am – 12.20pm

12.20 feedback & option to continue discussions over lunch.

Sounds amazing! How do I sign up?

#PedagooTayside is now open! Pedagoo events rely on educators being willing to share what they do in a supportive environment.

Anyone can submit a learning conversation – if it’s something you’ve tried out in your classroom or school/setting then others will want to hear about it. Learning conversations are thirty minutes in length and you are encouraged to share your practice for 15 minutes and then lead a discussion for the remainder of your time. Use of powerpoint is discouraged we’re after conversations, not presentations. You’ll also get a chance to attend other people’s conversations.

Go on! You know you want to, groups tend to be maximum 10 people, everyone is there because they want to learn from each other and find out how to improve their practice.

To join in the fun simply decide if you would like to lead a wee conversation or just come along and join in with the discussions, then fill one of the forms below.

See you on 17th!
